Why Facebook groups should be your new best friend

Today we wanted to talk to you about Facebook groups and why they matter. We all have probably joined a few of them by now whether it was about an interesting topic or because one of our friends added us. However, there are ways to harness your group presence and make it work in your favor, helping you grow your fanbase.
Finding groups pertaining to your niche of business should be fairly easy. Facebook groups are designed to promote engagement between members. Once you join them it’s a really great way to share work from your business page to groups and get a new audience that will eventually migrate to your page. Of course, this goes without saying, but don’t JUST share your work in them. Leave comments to other people’s posts, immerse yourself in them and become a part of the community. This will allow you to become a trusted member and your activity will start to carry weight. Plus, making new contacts and friends can only be helpful in the long run, right? Also, keep an eye out for local groups niched towards your hobbies/areas of business so you can make connections right in your area.
Don’t be afraid to open up and discuss things in depth. Show people there is a human being behind the screen, someone who is a professional whom they could hire if there’s ever a need.
If you prefer a more hands-on approach creating your own group is the way to go. As the leader, you have the power to post whatever content you think is interesting, as well as moderate the content posted by the members. This is your space to motivate, inspire and inform. It is also a great place to inform potential customers about your products or services without them feeling like it is an intrusive ad on their feed. Furthermore this can also be a place to pitch ideas, test them and brainstorm with like-minded people.
While our feeds are flooded with ads groups have become a haven and the posts will appear high up in the members’ feeds the more you post. Win-win right?
